1933 Vintage Languid Lady Herbarium Framed Print – Emery Whilton Botanical Art (12" x 16.5")

This beautiful vintage framed botanical print is an authentic reproduction from the historic Emery Whilton Herbarium, originally collected on June 18, 1933.

The specimen features the poetic Languid Lady (Mertensia ciliata var. stomatechoides, commonly known as streamside bluebells) from the Boraginaceae family. The typed archival label notes that this exact piece was originally collected taken along a creek at Mineral King, elevation about 11,000 feet, Tulare County, Calif., by collector Y.W.W. With its broad, beautifully pressed leaves, nodding cluster structures, aged paper patina, typed vintage typeface, and elegant gold-toned frame, this piece adds a sophisticated, high-alpine historic touch to any gallery wall, study, or living space.
