Antique Italian Plate c.1870s–1896 : “Mattino” by Soc. Cer. Richard, Pre-Richard-Ginori

S.C. Richard (Società Ceramica Richard) was a Milan-based Italian porcelain and ceramics manufacturer active from 1873 to 1896. The company later merged with Ginori to form the renowned Richard Ginori brand. This piece is from the artist himslef before the merger.

This antique Italian plate, dating from the 1870s to 1896, is stamped “Mattino” by Società Ceramica Richard, an Italian artist active during that era. The plate features a charming bird and floral motif, characteristic of European countryside décor of the period. It displays attractive crazing and is free from any chips, preserving its original condition.
