Antique Italian Platter c.1870s–1896 : “Mattino” by Soc. Cer. Richard, Pre-Richard-Ginori

This antique Italian plate, dating from the 1870s to 1896, is stamped “Mattino” by Società Ceramica Richard, an Italian artist active during that era. It showcases a charming bird and floral motif, typical of European countryside décor from the period. The plate exhibits attractive crazing, along with one small chip along the edge and a heavier crazing mark (see photos). These minor imperfections are common in pieces over 125 years old and do not diminish its beauty or appeal as a decorative display item.
