Original 1981 Tadeusz Kuduk "Zielona Joanna" Signed Polish Art Madonna Painting

Expand your fine art collection with this captivating original mixed media painting by the distinguished Polish contemporary artist and illustrator, Tadeusz Kuduk (b. 1935). Titled "Zielona Joanna" (Green Joanna) and painted in Trzebuska, Poland, in September 1981, this piece perfectly encapsulates Kuduk’s celebrated modern exploration of sacred and spiritual themes.

The artwork centers on a mesmerizing, stylized Madonna figure adorned in an intricate green, mosaic-patterned garment. Her head is framed by a massive, radiantly detailed halo filled with repeating cross motifs, crown-like spikes, and red floral rosettes. The backdrop is a deeply textured, patterned tapestry of symbolic folk markings, standard crosses, and botanical silhouettes, all capped by a strict border row of miniature Christian crosses. Kuduk's distinct visual vocabulary bridges the gap between ancient Byzantine icon painting, folk art, and mid-century modernist expressionism.

The lower margins contain the cycle designations and the artist's definitive signature "Tadeusz Kuduk 1981". This investment-grade piece is housed beautifully in a classic gold-gilded wood frame with a wide, elegant linen mat board, matching your other Kuduk listing perfectly for an exquisite side-by-side display.
